Burelu (also known as Poornalu in some regions) is a traditional sweet delicacy from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, typically made during festivals like Ugadi, Deepavali, Varalakshmi Vratam, and weddings.

These golden-brown dumplings are made by stuffing a sweet filling of cooked chana dal (Bengal gram), jaggery, and cardamom into a smooth outer layer of urad dal and rice batter. They are then deep-fried until crisp on the outside and soft, sweet, and aromatic on the inside.
